Dry skin and dehydrated skin aren't the same thing. Dry skin is short on oil. Dehydrated skin is short on water — and it can happen to oily skin, young skin, any skin, usually seasonally or after too much sun, wind or air conditioning.

The tell is tightness that comes back a couple of hours after you moisturise.

Two jobs, two sets of ingredients.

The first is pulling water in and holding it there. That's tamarind seed polysaccharides — sugar chains that bind water at the surface — working alongside hyaluronic acid, glycerin, urea, trehalose, sodium PCA, betaine, aloe and rice protein.

The second is slowing how fast that water escapes. Ceramides EOP, NP and AP, cholesterol and phytosphingosine are the lipid types your skin already makes, in roughly the proportions it makes them. They're what a compromised barrier is short of.

Most moisturisers do one or the other. This does both, which is why the effect lasts past the first hour.

The texture is the quiet part.

It's a liquid-crystal emulsion built on olive-derived emulsifiers — light, fresh, and absorbed quickly. No film, no shine, no pilling under makeup or sunscreen.

Panthenol, calendula and witch hazel round it out for skin that's feeling reactive.
